Rockwall County only takes applications when a position is open.
To apply for a position with the County you must fill out and submit the appropriate application form.

One of the following three forms is required based upon the position posted:

1.) Non Law Enforcement Position - Rockwall County Job Application

2.) A Detention Center (Jail) Position - Detention Division Application

3.) A Sworn Deputy Sheriff or Communication Officer Position - Sheriff's Deputy Application

You may access the appropriate application using one of the links above, fill it out completely and deliver to the appropriate office. Applications for a Civilian position [item 1] may be delivered in person, faxed or mailed to the Rockwall County Treasurer's office at 101 E. Rusk, Suite 201 in the Historic Courthouse on the downtown square. Alternately it can be completed online by following these instructions and emailed.

Applications for a position in one of the Sheriff's departments [item 2 or 3] must be delivered to the Justice and Detention Center at 950 T.L. Townsend Dr.
