ROCKWALL COUNTY VIP Volunteers Informed & Prepared

Public Health Emergency Support Volunteer Organization

About Us

ROCKWALL COUNTY VIP Volunteers Informed & Prepared is a volunteer organization developed to support officials during County public health emergencies where local hospitals and medical providers could not treat, prevent or handle the amount of people coming in seeking preventative care.

Recent disasters have demonstrated that emergencies need management by local people.  Hurricane Katrina showed that the federal government might be severely limited in its initial responding role.  Volunteers may be the only viable resource available in an emergency.  In the wake of a catastrophic

event, local communities must be prepared to provide supplies to 100% of their population.  Rockwall County wants to pull together our entire community to become ready NOW!  If disaster strikes, it affects us ALL!

ROCKWALL COUNTY VIP is under the direction and guidance of the Rockwall County Judge, Rockwall County Public Health Coordinator & the Rockwall County Sheriff’s Office.

ROCKWALL COUNTY VIP is striving to forge partnerships with our local organizations, and work together with established community groups for volunteer membership.

ROCKWALL COUNTY VIP will act to support emergencies within the County of Rockwall.
