No maximum age.   Citizenship: Must be a citizen of the United States of America to apply for any position that requires you to be a peace officer. On all non-peace officer positions, if not a U.S. citizen, must posses a valid Immigration and naturalization work permit.   Physical Requirements: You must be physically sound and free from any defect which might adversely affect performance of duty, personal safety or the safety of others. Must pass a physical examination conducted by a physician.   Mental Health: Must not have any history of psychoses or psychoneurotic reaction which caused hospitalization, prolonged care by a physician, or loss of time from normal pursuits.   Occupation Requirements: All sworn positions must hold a valid Texas Peace Officer license.
