In response to COVID-19, the Supreme Court has issued the following Emergency Orders.
All emergency orders expire on May 8, 2020 unless extended by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

PUBLIC NOTICE FROM THE COUNTY CLERK


Under the authority of the County Judge and Commissioners Court a Declaration of Local Disaster for Public Health has been issued for Rockwall County.

In order to assist the public and keep our staff healthy we are limiting any in person transactions to appointments only and only for essential needs at this time.

Requests for certified copies of vital records, such as birth, death or marriage certificates must be processed by mail.  Forms are located on the County Clerk Website, www.rockwallcountytexas.com.

Copies of recorded property records must be requested by mail or by the ROAM website countyclerk.rockwallcountytexas.com.

Requests for copies or filing for judicial matters must be done (non-attorney filings) by mail or electronically by using the State e-file Portal at https:/efile.txcourts.gov.

This office is not processing Marriage Licenses at this time.

Application for Acknowledge of Paternity will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis for appointment.

For essential business by appointment, please call the office at 972-204-6300 so the staff may determine the time sensitivity of the issue and proceed with making an appointment for you to personally appear. Appointments will be limited to the required parties only.
