The U.S. Department of State offers important up to date passport and travel information online at travel.state.gov . ***Please be aware that Rockwall County's Passport Acceptance Facility does not process adult U.S. Passport renewals using the DS-82 application form. These must be handled through the U.S. Postal Service per U.S. Department of State guidelines. For additional information, visit travel.state.gov ***
Failure to be on time, have all required documentation and proper payment ready, could result in the rescheduling of your appointment
All applicants (Including Children) MUST be present at the time of your appointment
Items to have completed before your appointment are as follows:
- DS-11 U.S. Passport Application filled out in black ink and not signed
- ***Be sure to complete the emergency contact section***
- Valid Driver's License or Other Identifying Documents
- Primary U.S. Citizenship Evidence, Certified Birth Certificate, or recent Passport Book
- Applicants must submit a legible black and white copy of their Birth Certificate or U.S. Citizenship Evidence. The District Clerk's Office charges $1.00 per copy as a convenience if none are provided.
- Any other documents required for each application submitted, such as Court Orders, must be either the originals or certified copies
- Rockwall's Acceptance Facility provides the service of taking passport photos at a cost of $15 per photo
Two separate payments are required at our Acceptance Facility:
1) Passport application fees to be mailed along with your application to the U.S. Passport Processing Center: Checks (personal, certified or cashier's) and Money-Orders payable to "U.S. Dept. of State" for each application (Not a combined payment) ***Credit/Debit cards and cash CANNOT be accepted***
Routine Service Cost:
15 Yrs and under - Books $100 / Cards $15
16 Yrs and over - Books $130 / Cards $30
Expedited Cost: (Books Only)
15 Yrs and under - $182.05
16 Yrs and over - $212.05
2) $35 Execution fee, optional $15 photo fee, and copy fee ($1 per copy), are a combined payment paid separately to the District Clerk: Checks (personal, certified or cashier's), Money-Orders payable to "Rockwall County District Clerk", Credit/Debit cards, and cash.

***It is your option to purchase a $33.40 express mail stamp at the U.S. Post Office to include with your application to have it overnighted to the U.S. Passport Processing Agency. Please
advise the Post Office attendant that you are purchasing the express mail stamp to send a passport application overnight.***
IMPORTANT... Failure to purchase the correct stamp or provide sufficient funds to overnight your application will result in a delay of your passport application processing. We will contact you to inform you that the application was not processed that day, correct postage will need to be made, and a new application will need to be processed.
