If you are a teen that would like to volunteer at the library but you don’t think you can make a weekly commitment, we do have volunteers that contribute to the Youth Services Department for special events only. Each semester the Library’s needs vary, and due to the high level of participation we cannot guarantee a certain number of hours for each Special Events Volunteer. If you are interested in applying for a Special Events Volunteer position please complete and submit the Teen Volunteer Application below. If you are accepted as a Special Events Volunteer, you will be contacted about your availability for programs and events as they occur.
Each summer in addition to our Library Pages we have approximately 100 Summer Reading Club Volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering in the summer with the Summer Reading Club you will need to attend a Summer Reading Club Orientation. Information about this orientation will be available by May 1st.
If you are ready to apply, please fill out the Teen Volunteer Application . You may submit the completed application by email or in person at the Youth Services “Ask Me” desk. Once your application has been submitted, please wait for us to contact you with information about your interview and/or orientation. If you have applied in the past and are still interested in volunteering, you can contact us by phone or by email. If it has been more than a year since you last volunteered at the Rockwall County Library, please submit a new Teen Volunteer Application.
