Every May, the Administration for Community Living (ACL) leads the nation in observing Older Americans Month (OAM). This celebration is a time to recognize the contributions of older Americans, highlight aging trends, and reaffirm our commitment to serving older adults.
The theme for 2025, "Flip the Script on Aging," focuses on transforming societal perceptions, conversations, and approaches to aging.
The Rockwall County Commissioners Court encourages all residents to join in recognizing the valuable contributions of our older citizens. We urge everyone to support programs, services, and activities that promote connection, inclusion, and well-being for older adults throughout our community.
Additionally, the Rockwall County Commissioners Court acknowledges Meals on Wheels for their essential work in helping elderly and disabled citizens of Rockwall County remain in their homes safely. They achieve this through the provision of nutritious meals, daily human contact, and supportive services.
