TxDOT held a Communication meeting June 25, 2025, and provided these updates:
1. Eastbound (EB) Frontage Rd Bridge Dalrock Rd to Horizon Rd. Contractor has placed the final girders completing all girders of the 2-mile bridge across the lake. EB Frontage Rd Bridge deck concrete pours continue, moving along well. (See Photo)

2. Westbound (WB) Frontage Rd Bridge Horizon Rd to Dalrock Rd. With girder placement completed on the EB Frontage Rd Bridge, contractor has moved cranes to the WB Frontage Rd Bridge to begin placing caps on drill shafts and and then girders.
3. WB Frontage Rd 205 to Horizon Rd. With the shift to the temporary WB Frontage Rd and completion of entries to businesses, the contractor is beginning demolition of WB Frontage Rd.
4. Upcoming Traffic shift for Horizon Bridge. TxDOT will provide notification 2 weeks in advance of the traffic shift to the newly completed half of the Horizon Bridge and anticipating this will happen late summer/ early fall. Additional notifications will be provided about demolition of Horizon Bridge that is being used now for traffic. (See Photo)

5. 205 to Royse City. TxDOT provided updates and progress on the numerous bridges widening projects along I-30, at FM 3549, FM 551, and FM 35. TxDOT noted that they are trying to accelerate the I-30 Bridge re-surfacing over John King Blvd and remaining work in the area to finish the bridge and open the on ramps in late fall.
