A new membership campaign is underway to rally community backing for the Rockwall County Library through the Friends of the Rockwall County Library organization.
The Friends, a volunteer nonprofit group, relies on member dues and donations to fund key library programs that public dollars alone can’t fully support. These include children’s summer reading events, upgrades to library technology, adult literacy and citizenship classes, and senior outreach efforts in partnership with Meals on Wheels.
“As Rockwall grows, so does the need for a strong and dynamic library,” said Lesli Johnson, president of the Friends of the Library. “By becoming a Friend, residents can make a direct impact on the lives of families, students, seniors and lifelong learners in Rockwall County. There is always something good happening at the library.”
Memberships start at $20 and provide access to special events, monthly newsletters and volunteer opportunities. Memberships purchased now will be valid through the end of 2026.
