In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation designating May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week that includes this date as Police Week.
The Rockwall County Commissioners Court observes May 11-17, 2025, as National Police Week in Rockwall County, publicly honoring the service of law enforcement officers in our community and nationwide.
We also invite the public to join us for the Rockwall County Law Enforcement Police Officer Memorial Service on May 15, 2025, at 9:30 AM. The service will be held at Rest Haven Funeral Home in Rockwall.
