The Commissioners Court of Rockwall County will hold a public hearing on the proposed fiscal year 2026 budget and will consider the proposed budget for adoption after the public hearing has concluded. The hearing will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 9 a.m., located at the Historic Courthouse Courtroom, 101 E. Rusk Street, Rockwall, TX 75087. This budget will raise more total property taxes than last year's budget by an amount of $3,310,477 or 5.87%, and of that amount $1,848,661.23 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year. Any person may attend and may participate in the hearing.
