Lorne Liechty is a Founding Partner of the law firm of Liechty, McGinnis, Berryman & Bowen LLP, Dallas, Texas, with a national law practice focusing on commercial real estate and corporate transactions. Lorne received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Oral Roberts University in 1977, and attended the University of Notre Dame, where he earned both J.D. and MBA degrees in 1981, and received the Dean’s Award for High Academic Achievement for the MBA Class of 1981. Lorne is the Rockwall County Commissioner for Precinct 3. He has long been active in local politics, previously having been elected to two terms as Mayor of Heath, and to four terms on the Heath City Council. He has also served his community in many other capacities and on Boards of Directors of multiple organizations, including the Heath Park Board, the Rockwall County Chamber of Commerce, the Rockwall Rotary Club, the Rockwall County Open Space Alliance, the Rockwall County Historical Commission, Helping Hands of Rockwall County, the Rockwall Central Appraisal District and Heritage Christian Academy. Lorne and his wife, Mary, have been married 46 years, and have 4 children and 7 grandchildren.
